When the loud speaker filled with fears is pressed close to your ears, what do you do?
We all at some time or another have heard the lies that fear spew into our hopes and dreams. It can feel like fear knows us better than God and all that fear states is factual.
How can we overcome the lies of the enemy?
Pray about your fears
We need to make sure our prayers are louder than our fears. I don’t mean we need to go around shouting prayers out loud at the top of our lungs however, if that is what it takes, then do it.
There is a battle in our mind of fear vs faith.
We must be willing to fight for our faith. The Scriptures tell us that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, that includes stealing our faith and replacing it with the lies that our fears are stronger than the will of God.
I encourage you to pray “loud” and pray often.
Finding the root cause of your fears
Fears can come from a legitimate place in our soul. A place that keeps wounds from our past, present or even our future.
We need to discover where the fears originate and tell God all about it. God can not heal us in places we are choosing to ignore. He wants us to be healed individuals.
Overcoming your fears
God tells us very clearly that “fear does not come from the Lord” (2 Timothy 1:7). There are several aspects of fear, the one I am addressing is the fear that arises simply to keep us weighed down, distracted and out of the will of God.
There are many who have yet to step out into their dreams because they have the fear of failure. Ladies understand this, the same God who gave you the dream is the same God who provides all that is necessary for you to accomplish those same dreams.
Isaiah 41:13 informs us “Do not fear; I will help you.”
Don’t allow the voice of fear to supersede the voice of God.
